Travel insurance is required for all JRNYS trips and must be purchased independently. Coverage should include trip cancellation, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation.

Double Occupancy (Shared Room)

$1,850 pp

Includes two beds in a shared room with a shared bathroom with one other JRNYS traveler for the duration of the trip. If you would like to room with a specific person that will be attending, you may indicate their full name during registration. If you do not have a roommate preference, we offer complimentary roommate matching based on traveler preferences submitted at booking.

Single Occupancy (Private Room)

 $2,280 pp

Includes a private bedroom with a shared bathroom for the duration of the trip, offering additional space and privacy throughout the JRNYS experience. This option is ideal for travelers who prefer their own accommodations while still participating in group activities. Limited availability!

Couple Occupancy (Shared Room)

 $3,700 pc

Includes one shared room with a shared bathroom for two guests traveling together as a couple for the duration of the trip. This package is ideal for partners who want to experience JRNYS together while enjoying the energy of a hosted group trip.

Playdays are intentionally built-in free days within the JRNYS itinerary designed for exploration, spontaneity, and personalization. While the core itinerary includes whole group experiences, Playdays give you the freedom to design your own adventure! Whether you want to dive deeper into traditional culture, food, fashion, nightlife, wellness, or simply wander with no plan at all, this is your time!

Unlike many group trips where you may feel pressured to participate in every scheduled activity or follow a “one size fits all” agenda, Playdays give you autonomy over your experience. You’re not locked into doing things that don’t align with your interests, AND you’re not left figuring everything out alone either! You may choose your own pace, lean into your niche, and tailor the journey to what excites you most.

How Playday Add-Ons Work

For designated Playdays, we offer a curated selection of optional add-on experiences. These are hand-selected and vetted activities that align with the JRNYS vibe: immersive, fun, and a little “out-of-the-box”.

To build your Playday:

  1. Review the available add-ons listed for your destination.

  2. Select the experiences that interest you.

  3. Add them to your booking.

  4. Confirm your payment option (add-ons can be paid in full or added to a payment plan).

You may choose one experience, multiple experiences, or none at all. Add-ons are completely optional. If you prefer to spend your Playday exploring solo, visiting a restaurant you saw on TikTok, shopping, relaxing at on the beach, museum hopping, or simply sleeping in you are absolutely welcome to do so.

  • Dive deeper into the soul of New Orleans with a guided tour through the city’s neighborhoods, history, culture, and traditions. After time to recharge, experience one of Mardi Gras’ biggest nights in VIP style with premium Endymion parade viewing and dinner.

  • Ease into Dimanche Gras with a lively Sunday Jazz Brunch featuring great food, music, cocktails, and classic New Orleans brunch energy. The rest of the day is yours to explore, relax, experience the Bacchus festivities independently, or meet back up later for an optional Frenchmen Street night out.

  • It’s your journey, your way. Spend Lundi Gras exploring New Orleans on your own or choose from curated optional Playday experiences based on how you want to spend the day. Eat, explore, unwind, celebrate, or simply follow the Mardi Gras energy wherever it takes you.

  • It’s Mardi Gras Day! Experience the legendary Zulu parade from a premium VIP viewing location and take in one of the most celebrated Black traditions in New Orleans Carnival. Spend the rest of Fat Tuesday soaking up the city before coming together that evening for the signature JRNYS Farewell Toast.

Hi, I’m Garyn — creator of JRNYS by Where Garyn At?

Travel has always been personal for me, but New Orleans is personal in a different way. My family is from New Orleans, so this city is not just another destination on the map. It is a place tied to family, culture, tradition, memory, and identity.

For years, I’ve traveled the world solo, intentionally planning my own outside-the-box adventures, navigating new cities, and seeking experiences that go beyond the typical tourist path. I’ve always been drawn to hidden gems, immersive cultural experiences, and the local moments you simply cannot recreate with a checklist of attractions.

That same approach is what shaped JRNYS.

I want every experience to feel thoughtful, immersive, and connected to the place you are visiting. For New Orleans especially, that means experiencing Mardi Gras in a way that goes beyond beads and Bourbon Street. It means understanding the culture, the traditions, the neighborhoods, the music, the food, and the people that give the city its soul.

I design each JRNYS experience the way I travel myself: structured enough to feel seamless, but flexible enough to feel free.

As your host, I’m here to make sure everything flows so you can relax, explore, and be fully present in the experience.

How to book

Room Options & Payment Plans

There are two room types available for JRNYS. To secure your spot, you may either pay a deposit and select a monthly payment plan or pay in full at checkout. All bookings are managed securely through WeTravel.

Double Occupancy (Shared Room)
Perfect for solo travelers open to being paired or friends/partners traveling together. Each room includes two separate beds.

Single Occupancy (Solo Room)
For travelers who prefer their own private room and space.

Please note: Single rooms are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Couple Occupancy (Shared Couple Room)
For couples traveling together.

How to Book

  5. Submit your payment to secure your spot.

Your reservation is officially confirmed once you receive your booking confirmation email. After booking, please complete all required fields in your WeTravel “Booking Details” section to finalize your participation.
